Do I need an appointment?
Yes. Shear Images is a by-appointment-only salon. Appointments are arranged in advance so we can reserve dedicated time for you.
Ombré or balayage: what’s the difference?
Ombré describes a gradual change from darker roots to lighter ends. Balayage is a hair-painting technique that creates soft, blended color. We can help you choose the right approach for your hair.
What products do you use?
We color with Organic Colour Systems, a professional color line that is vegan and made as a lower-tox alternative to conventional hair dye. Permanent color still involves some chemistry, so organic here means gentler formulas rather than chemical-free. Ask us which products suit your hair and how to care for your color at home.
Where is Shear Images located?
The salon is at 71 S. Lea Street in Macungie, Pennsylvania, and serves clients from Macungie and across the Lehigh Valley, including the Allentown area.
Can I rent the photography studio?
Yes. The studio rents by the hour for photographers, creators and small businesses, at $50 an hour with a two-hour minimum. See what’s included and request a date on the studio rental page.
